JB has always been fascinated by human movement and the potential the human body possesses. He has wrestled, played basketball, run cross-country, and played lacrosse at the collegiate level, to name a few sports he was involved in. It was not until attending college that he found his love for CrossFit. JB has been doing CrossFit for about four years and has been a CrossFit coach for the past three. He loves how CrossFit tests the multiple aspects of fitness and is always pushing the potential of the human body.
JB has attended the University of Nevada, Reno earning his undergraduate degree in Community Health Science and is now studying to be a physical therapist at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Possessing background knowledge in kinesiology and exercise science will help him improve the health and fitness of others, not just himself.
As a coach, JB's goal is to help improve the wellbeing of others. One of the most rewarding aspects of coaching for him is witnessing the change and growth of individuals first hand. He tries to instill a sense of confidence in every individual so that at some point they are able to say, “I never thought I could do that.”
Outside of the gym, JB enjoys being with this friends and family, going on hikes, cooking, eating donuts, going on long walks to the fridge, and playing with his dog, Nelli.
